FREE use of Van

All bookings are subject to availability.

The van service may only be used once per storage agreement.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations.

A holding fee of $200 will apply until the van is returned.

The van is free of charge for up to 50 kilometres. A fee of $1.50 per kilometre will apply for any distance beyond 50 kilometres.

The van must only be used to transport goods to our facility. Use for personal reasons will result in forfeiture of the $200 holding deposit.

Credit card details must be provided at the time of booking.

Your card will be charged if:

The vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel.
The vehicle is returned later than the allocated time.
The vehicle is returned dirty or damaged.

Public Self Storage staff are not permitted to load or unload the van.

The van must be able to park safely and legally at your premises.

The customer confirms legal ownership of the goods being transported.

The customer agrees to indemnify Public Self Storage, its agents, and employees against any loss, damage, theft, or expense incurred while using the van.

The customer agrees not to load the van with prohibited materials, as outlined in the Storage Agreement and our “Goods Not to Be Stored” policy.

FREE use of Trailer

Complimentary trailer hire is available exclusively for our storage clients at the Hallam facility. To secure a trailer, please present a valid driver’s licence and complete our hire agreement. Same-day return is required; trailers cannot be kept overnight. Demand is high, so we recommend booking well in advance—the more notice you provide, the better we can reserve your preferred date.

This trailer must not be used for personal reasons, only to bring goods to our facility. If this occurs the holding deposit of $100 will not be refunded.

The trailer must be able to park safely and legally at your premises.
The customer agrees that he/she has legal ownership of the goods.
The customer agrees to not load the trailer with prohibited materials as stated in the storage agreement and our Goods Not To Be Stored policy.

FREE use of Forklift

The forklift is available free of charge for customers at our Braybrook and Epping locations, provided you hold a valid forklift licence. You’ll need to present your licence to our office staff, and a copy will be retained for our records. Additionally, a current Certificate of Currency with a minimum of $10 million public liability coverage is required before use.

Hours of Use:
Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 5.30pm
Saturday – 9am to 4.30pm
Sunday – 10am to 3.30pm
