How much does it cost to store at Public Self Storage?
We offer a wide variety of storage unit sizes and prices. Contact our friendly sales team for assistance in finding the perfect unit to suit your budget.
Do I need to provide my own padlock?
Yes. You can bring your own padlock on move-in day or purchase one directly from our office.
How do I pay for my storage unit?
You can pay via credit card, EFTPOS, or bank deposit. Cash payments are accepted at Braybrook, Epping, and Scoresby locations, but not at Hallam.
When are late fees charged?
Late fees apply if your account isn’t paid on time. A detailed schedule of fees and charges will be provided and explained when you sign your contract.
Do Public Self Storage staff have access to my unit?
No. Only you have access to your storage unit. You’ll have a personal access code and hold the only key—Public Self Storage does not retain customer keys.
Will Public Self Storage accept deliveries on my behalf?
Yes, provided we receive at least 24 hours’ notice. Delivery acceptance is subject to space availability on a first-come, first-served basis, and goods can only be held for a maximum of 24 hours. Our staff cannot load items into your unit. If your delivery requires forklift unloading, please ensure your driver has appropriate insurance and inform us in advance.
How long can a shipping container stay on the hardstand area?
Containers must be unloaded and removed within 48 hours unless prior approval has been granted by management. We require at least 24 hours’ notice of arrival to accommodate all customers’ needs.
How many containers can fit on the hardstand at once?
Our hardstand can accommodate up to three containers simultaneously.
Is Public Self Storage open on public holidays?
Our office operates from 10 am to 4 pm on most public holidays, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Anzac Day. Facility access via pin code remains available 24/7.
